How is Trim Tech fastened?

Trim Tech is fastened with galvanized nails or screws (pressure nailed) with only enough force to keep it in place until it receives the first plaster coat. It’s suggested to use products like Easy Seal for the flashings around windows and other openings.

Is Trim Tech waterproof?

Trim Tech itself is not waterproof. It is attached after the job has been lathed, therefore it’s attached to a surface that has already been waterproofed. Fastening Trim Tech will penetrate lath paper as any fastener would, for example, as nails, staples or screws would during the lathing process.

Is Trim Tech mold resistant? |

Since Trim Tech products are designed to allow moisture to pass through them, they are highly resistant to rot and fungus.
